* * * Pay What You CAN Performances * * *

We believe that live theater is something that everyone should have a chance to experience - so one of our four main productions this year will be designated a "Pay what you CAN" night. If you can't afford the full ticket price for yourself or couldn't otherwise bring the whole family, just pay what you CAN -- and bring one CAN of food per person for the Food Bank!   We'll also provide opportunities to become a Tater Patcher for future shows.  Join us and come enjoy!

The clock is ticking

Posted by: Nan | Comments (1)

…… on our fundraising project.  We have arranged a 90 day extension with the sellers, but that means we absolutely have to raise all our funds no later than August.   To answer the questions we have been asked — our original goal was $400,000.  That would get us in the building, with no loan, add a rehearsal/dressing room building on the back, and give us a little cushion so we could breathe moderately easily for the first year.  We have not yet raised enough to do this.  But this building, currently the home of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, on Cove Road,  is the Community Theater you in Pickens County deserve.   A place that will serve you with more quality entertainment than ever before,  youth activities, meetings, movies, and music.

With lowered expectations,  and the good prospect of a small loan from a local bank,  we can still be in that building, with no dressing area and no financial cushion for the troupe with $120,000 more.    For all those who have said,  “Tater Patch should have…. ”   or  “I wish there were a space nearby we could use for…..”    THE TIME IS NOW.   We need your help.   Our Board members have already committed their time and donations to this project, as have many of our friends and supporters.  For those who wish to give, but have not yet, please go to the Fundraising tab on the website and learn how.   Watch the video to the right of this article to learn more about our hopes.  Go to the online photos tab above and see photos of the future home of Tater Patch Players.  Imagine!  A place for great theater, youth activities, music, classes and meetings, less than a mile from downtown.   Please, donate now.
